In 1999, he graduated from the National Biology Talent Training Base Class of the School of Life Sciences of Wuhan University with a bachelor's degree. In 2002, he received a master's degree in Biochemistry and molecular biology from Fuwai Hospital of Peking Union Medical University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Pathology and pathophysiology from Sun Yat-sen University in 2008. From 2008 to 2009, he visited the Cardiovascular Research Center of the University of Manchester School of Medicine to study the molecular mechanism of vascular calcification. He has been engaged in the research of cardiovascular disease mechanism for a long time, and has published more than 20 SCI papers in Aging Cell, ATVB, Free Radic Biol Med, J Pathol, Lab Invest, Int J Cardiol and other journals. For the first time, the mechanism of myocardial autophagy involved in adriamycin-induced heart failure was elucidated, and the paper has been cited 187 times. He has presided over 4 National Natural Science Foundations and 5 provincial and ministerial funds, and served as the main academic backbone of a 973 program and the reviewer of journals such as J Mol Endocrinol.
