发布人:中山医学院
发布日期:2012-12-21
This Programme is overseen by China Scholarship Council (affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Education), which was approved in early 2007 and funds Chinese university students to study overseas for a PhD degree. The aim of the programme is to sponsor first-class Chinese students to study for PhD degrees in primarily science and technology fields at first-class universities overseas.
The scholarships cover air fares and living costs for up to 4 years. The University of Glasgow has agreed to waive tuition fees for successful applicants and has signed agreements with Chinese partner universities. While applications are welcome from all students who meet the entry requirements, preference will be given to students from our partner universities. This year the College will prioritise up to 5 scholarships providing tuition fee waivers for applicants from Sun Yat-sen University who are successful in obtaining a China Scholarship Council studentship.
Applications will be received by the Commission via the participating Chinese institutions between 20th March to 5th April 2013. At the time of applying, applicants must have already received:
1. an unconditional offer from University of Glasgow;
2. confirmation from the University of Glasgow that tuition fees will be waived on gaining a CSC stipend;
3. a recommendation from the applicant's home (Chinese) university.
Applications to our University should be submitted by 8th February 2013.
