Dr. Keith A. Soper简介：
Dr. Keith A. Soper于1988年在坦普尔大学取得统计学博士学位后到默克公司现职。现在是该公司生物统计学研究部门的高级主管。负责从基因表达、成像、生物标志等方面为药品的研发提供支持。
内容提要：
Quantitative science has played an increasingly important role in Pharmaceutical Research and Development since Joe Ciminera became the first statistician in the industry in 1939. In recent years technology has enabled rapid collection of massive high dimensional measurements which require advanced statistical methods to understand. In this talk Dr. Keith A. Soper will summarize discovery and preclinical statistical support Merck and illustrate with examples from rodent carcinogenicity, safety pharmacology, assay optimization, and biomarkers. Statistical methods include repeated measures, spectral analysis, multiplicity, cross validation, simulation, and machine learning.
