主讲人简介:
Jiangping Wu is the professor of medicine, Laboratory of Immunology, Notre-Dame Hospital; Research Center and Nephrology Service,University of Montreal in Canada. He received his Ph.D. degree, majored in immunology , from the University of Manitoba in Canada in 1986.
Professor Wu is a leader in the research of the role of Eph, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases, in the immune system and cardiovascular system. He discovered that EphB6 and EFNB members, which are the ligands of EphB kinases, are critical in T cell development and function. EphB6 and EFNB provide T cells with co-stimulatory signals to enhance T cell response to antigens. These findings have been reported in eight high impact journals such as J. Clin. Invest., J. Biol. Chem. and J. Immunol .
