关于外籍专家英语授课培训班报名的通知

各教研室、中心、系：
      2009年11月10日～13日，学院拟邀请加拿大哥伦比亚大学（UBC）医学院Dr. Lan Tsang、Dr. Simon Huang和Prof. Barry Koehler
三位教授到我院开办为期三天（共6个单元）的英语授课培训班，具体如下：
Workshop Proposal
Purpose:  
The purpose of the half day workshop is to improve the ability of the participating SYSU faculties members to deliver their English 
language lectures.
Format:
3 faculty members (Huang, Koehler, Tsang). 6 SYSU faculty attendees each half day session. Can accommodate other 
students/faculty members as observers, with no active participations
Each SYSU member will deliver a 10 minute mini lecture in their own specialty, (in English). This will be followed by a 20 minute 
discussion amongst the 9 active participants (faculties and attendees but not observers).   Topics for discussion will include 
pronunciation, grammar, lecture organization, handling of audience questions.   The entire session will last 3 hours (30 minutes 
allotted for each attendee).  

       请各单位推荐教师参加，也可自荐报名（要求参加人员有较好的英语听说读写能力），可选择正式参加，也可选择旁听。并请有意参加培训的老师填写附件回执并于10月20日前报中山医学院教学工作室。
