范家堃教授简介:

Chia-Kwung Fan, is the professor and chairman of Department of Parasitology, School of Medicine, Taipei Medical University. Currently, he is also the director of Center for International Tropical Medicine which was recently established in TMU. Prof. Fan's research efforts mainly focus on molecular pathogenesis of zoonotic parasitosis, particularly of the role of TGF-β1 on toxocariasis. TGF-β1 plays a pivotal role in development of hepatic fibrosis of toxocaral granulomatous hepatitis as well as neurodegenerative disorder e.g., Alzheimer's-like disease in cerebral toxocariasis. Inhibition of TGF-β1 expression may lessen the pulmonary injury by reducing neuroinflammatory injury associated biomarker expression in the lungs caused by Toxocara canis infection.
